Payment and cancellation terms

REGISTRATION

Registration for the Suursoudut rowing event is done through the Starttiin.fi system. Information related to registration can be found here

BINDING AND CANCELLATIONS

Rowing registration is always binding, and the Suursoudut organization does not refund registration fees in the event of cancellation. If an individual rower cancels their participation, the participant/team can transfer the registration to another person and must inform the organizers of the change in participants by June 30, 2025, via email at info@suursoudut.fi. The rowing exchange section on the www.suursoudut.fi website can also be used to find replacements for canceled participants. info@suursoudut.fi . PAYMENT

The registration fee for the entire team must be paid at the time of registration. Accepted payment methods include:

  • Online banking payments
  • Card payments(Mastercard ja Visa)
  • Mobile payment options (Siirto.fi and MobilePay)

DISCOUNT ELIGIBILITY

Discount eligibility applies to the following:

  • Under 23 years old:

The Anna-Liisa and Kauko Miettinen Fund allows free participation in Suursoudut for all under 23-year-olds. Free registration is available through the Starttiin.fi system for teams where all members are under 23 years old. In the discount field, enter the word free, and no fee will be charged. Age must be verified on-site at the time of registration. If under 23-year-olds are participating as part of an adult team, their participation fee must be paid in full during registration and will be refunded upon presenting a receipt. Submit the receipt and payment details to info@suursoudut.fi

  • Full-time students:

Soutujen Tuki ry offers a 30% student discount for all full-time students. Discounted registration is available through the Starttiin.fi system for teams where all members are students. In the discount field, enter the word student, and the fee will be reduced by 30%.

Proof of student status must be presented for all team members on-site during registration. If full-time students are participating as part of an adult team, their participation fee must be paid in full during registration, and the discount will be refunded upon presenting a receipt. Submit the receipt, a picture of your student ID, and payment details to info@suursoudut.fi

ON-SITE REGISTRATION

The team contact person/registrant is responsible for reporting the team’s arrival at the info desk. Upon registration, the contact person will collect all materials for the team and distribute them to the other members.

ENTERTAINMENT AND CATERING SERVICE PURCHASES

Entertainment and catering services for the Suursoudut event can be purchased in advance through the online store or on-site at the event. These services are not eligible for refund protection, but tickets can be transferred to another user.

PAYMENT USING CULTURE AND SPORTS VOUCHERS

Epassi and Edenred will become accepted payment methods starting in January 2025.

FORCE MAJEURE

A force majeure is an unforeseen event that prevents or makes it unreasonably difficult to organize the event within the given timeframe. Such events include war, rebellion, natural disaster, pandemic, widespread disruption in energy distribution, exceptionally extensive communication network failures, fire, strike, blockade, or any other cause beyond the control of the event organizer. In such cases, the organizer reserves the right to cancel the event, and registrations will automatically transfer to the following year.
